Why do Twin fans boo AJ Pierzynski?

People are such sheep. Word got out that a lot of major leaguers don't like him, so they all join the bandwagon. No good reason, really, just want to seem like they 'know' stuff. Take a look at his play in the 2005 post season. Genius. He's a good, sharp player. Twins fans, like all fans, tend to boo former players. That's just part of the game. C'est la vie.

He is a jerk. He kneed a trainer in the groin after he was hit by a pitch in the groin. He gets booed in other places than Minnesota.

AJ is one of those players that you like to boo when they are on an opposing team, but that you love to cheer for when they our on your team.

He may not be the most skilled player at his position, but he plays the game hard and with a passion. He may be a little cocky, but that's just because he has confidence in his ability to make plays.

I can say that I am quite happy the White Sox have AJ. He's fun to watch, he takes no bs, and he gives all he can out on the field. After Fisk retired, the White Sox had to endure years of mediocre catchers, so AJ has been a welcome addition.

AJ's a very intelligent player who knows that sometimes it takes a little more than just pure physical skill to win at the MLB level.

People might not like what they percieve to me unnecessary gamesmanship on his part, but he helps the team win. Without AJ in 2005, the Sox wouldn't have won the Series.

Was AJ disliked when he was a Twin? Didn't he help the Twins win many a game against the Sox?

There is a lot of garbage out there - The Twins boo him, but he was great for them.

The Indians fans boo Thome, but it was managements fault he left.
