Why do US olympic gymnasts wear a backpack in between performances?

It is just their stuff they need for the day, eg warmup clothes, drinks etc and they carry them from one marshalling area to another as they change rotations

they move from a large area to another and as you can imagine they have to much stuff to carry.

I think they have different equipment (like wrist braces) that they wear for each different event.

They keep their warmups, shoes, Uneven Bars grips, and other things in them.

My friend, because they carrying there warm up clothes inside. Also, they carrying small things that necessary for gymnastics.
