Why do White people tan themselves to become brown and Coloured people use skin whiteners?

Yeah i know exactly what you are talking about and i think it comes down to 1 things

1- People want what they cant have, i used to hate bananas when they were cheap but then they got really expensive and i really liked them and i was like ohh they are to expensive i cant have them!

I hope these people relise that they are fine and dont need any chemicals to make them feel better about themselves :D

Lighter colored people sometimes prefer a darker look to better suit their hair color and its very rare that a colored person uses a skin whitener. The only case I know of that is Michael Jackson. It really depends on the person though, some people like to be darker and some don't.

We all want what we don't have  -  if you have straight hair, you probably want it curly, if you're tall you probably want to be smaller etc
