  1. Go to xbox.com and search 'red ring of death' click the first link then follow the instructions... worst comes to worst you send your 360 to Texas and the slap a big fat 3 year warranty on it and your 360 will be good as new.

  2. Just happened to me dude goto this site https://service.xbox.com/servicehome.asp...

fill out a request to repair wait for the box send it out and wait its under warranty for 3 years if you get red ring dont have anyone else try to fix it or it will void the warranty good luck dude took about a week to get my box

  3. Well I just got the red ring o death and I wrapped in thick towels and turned on the xbox 360 and let it sit for 20mins and came back and turned it off and back on and it was GONE!! and 1 month after that I sent into the xbox 360 compeny and thay fixed in 4 days

  4. i dont know why it happens but all you can do is give microsoft a call and let them know you need it repaired. you'll have to send it in and wait about 1-2 weeks for it to ship back. if you knew how to repair them i guess you could do it yourself but with most warranties if you open the system you void your warranty. so if you don't know what your doing just call and send it in

  5. Hi,

the red ring of death is caused by overheating on the motherboard and don't worry it is not your fault as to the reason it heats up! The GPU and the CPU take far too much heat and then the soldering becomes loose and eventually snaps off and that is when you get the red rings.

You can fix it yourself with a good repair guide that has a full guarantee and video instructions or you can send it in and they will fix it for you.

It takes about 4 weeks to get it repaired!

    Hope this helps!
