Why do a boat float much more when it moves with a high speed ??

When you see a boat standing on water the ratio of its floating part to its total size is less than it when it's going with a high speed ??

it reaches a level that it is moving on the surface of the water , why ???

can any one answer !!!!

  1. Inertia. When a boat is traveling at high speed, the forward thrust of the propeller gives enough inertia to overpower the gravitational pull of the boat. Just like swinging a bucket of water around real fast, the water won't come out of the bucket, even if it's upside down.


  2. This depends entirely on the design of the hull. An ordinary displacement hull, such as that of a schooner, has a low limit of speed, it depends on the length of the hull, the longer the hull, the faster the schooner can move. Hulls that. plane, climb over the bow wave and much greater speed is possible.
