s******g around, hunting/providing, being a strong force, but completely throws the whole theory away once divorce/break up happens and a fight about who should get the kids erupts?

The mother keeps "custody" of the offspring in most species, so why does this not apply?

  1. Because men don't know how to answer it any better!

  2. I understand what you are trying to say but you can't equate the dynamics of lion prides with human behavior.  I would argue the same thing to "a lot of men".

  3. Well, in the animal kingdom people like to use whatever supports their argument.

That goes for Men, Women, and sometimes hordes of 50 cats/kittens.

  4. actually i find that funny considering in the animal kingdom there are many specis were its the females that are hunters(first tot mind is lions)

  5. In many animal species, the offspring are abandoned as soon as they're born. In others that lay eggs, the offspring are often abandoned as soon as the eggs are laid.

  6. Because humans are the only ones with structured laws against the male of the species forcefully taking what they own, posses, or have natural rights to, of any kind.

Not trying to be "that guy," but think about it, if we didn't have laws against this kind of thing, men would "take as we please" with little regard for consequence or retaliation from women.

I do agree that women are better suited for caring and raising for children because it comes so naturally for them, but I also believe that a child needs to have both a mother AND a father. Usually kids that grow up with no father severely lack discipline and are 10 times more likely to cause trouble and later, commit crimes, no matter how serious they are.

I see these cases all the time because of my job. 90% of young boys are not even afraid of consequence and/or discipline from their mothers. When these same kids face their fathers, or even just an older male figure, they will submit and comply with little to no argument.

I'm not saying you're wrong or right, but let's just say that you had a child that you and your "significant other" had been raising for years.....and then you split up and you knew that your ex-husband would most likely get custody of that child with no chance of argument.....how would you feel?

This is one of those grey areas where men are not allowed to be the dominant ones by nature anymore. Whether you are a male or female will obviously effect how you look at it.

  7. You've just pointed out another of the great inconsistencies that misogynists cherish. Good job.

Biological determinism has always been a stupid explanation for the ways that people choose to behave but it's used when it's convenient.

  8. because men can comprehend the difference between is and ought

  9. Because in the animal kingdon lions , bucks and stallions are not forced to give up 1/2 of their territory and pay alimoney and cub, fawn or colt support.

  10. I have to admit, I can't think of a valid argument against that one- except that fathers do raise the young in some species of animals, especially fish.

But I'd never use that argument anyway, so it doesn't apply to me either way.
