Why do a lot of Americans think they need vaccinations before they go to Spain?

Some Americans I have spoken with seem to assume that Spain is like the spanish speaking nations of the Americas (Equador,Mexico, etc..)

They do not realize that it is a EU nation not unlike France or Poland.

We don't.  I've been to Spain, and never once heard of anyone talking about vaccinations.

Of course your question does paint Americans in a rather ignorant light, so no doubt most people on here will believe it, as it's a well known fact that we Americans are dumber than dirt.  Thanks for playing, and keeping believing that stuff about us.

Most of the Americans don't know about the reality in Spain. I went on an exchange program some years ago in the USA and my host family asked me if we had microwaves, dishwashers, washing machines and elevators in Spain...:D So they might think we still live in the woods...:D
