I know that most Muslims don't do this but why do some of them do it?

  1. Some people can't think for themselves. They would rather have someone think for them. Unfortunately the people thinking for them are dumb***es. Catch 22.

  2. because they are mental,

if hurting others as a means of getting what you want is all they can do, then they have no capacity for feelings whatsoever.

these people in my opinion are nothing more than psychopathic criminals

  3. They misread the Koran. and think they wil lget 40 virgins in heaven.

It is actually 40 Virginians...Really FKin angry Virginians.

  4. Generally they are an innocent and  misguided lot, easily influenced or at times indoctrinated by an equally misguided and fanatical lot (of leaders or peers). They use their religion as a bastion for their desperate acts, usually for the wrong cause and reasons; never for a worthy nor divine cause. In the process they give Muslims at large a bad reputation.

Of course terrorists and/or suicide bombers do exist in any other religious group of people or ethnicity. They are to be found in various other corners of the earth, be it in the Middle East (Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, etc), India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Indonesia, Latin America, etc, etc. Some guise themselves as freedom fighters, others use religion or race to justify their cause whilst there are others who are simply pure criminals. A common denominator or feature for all such dastard acts is that they invariably happen in areas of severe conflict.

  5. When your country get invaded, when your mother and sister get raped. When your country goverened by tyrent dictatorial regimes. When those regimes spread poverty, sickness, social problems, illiteracy, crime, drugs and so.

All these problems creates anger and destroyed youth who want to take his rights. But some engage in wrong activity. Not everyone hold a weapon is a terrorist. The one who hold weapon to defend his country and fire enemies or the one who fight criminal government is not a terrorist.

  6. I think it is because they are immature young men with not a jot of commonsense. They do not need to be wise after all because every answer to every conundrum they face is in the Koran, same as the Catholics with the Bible. They do not have to think for themselves.

  7. same reason a minority of non-muslims become terroists - a sense of moral superiority coupled with the false understanding that the quality of their personal opinion is of higher value than the objective opinion of society. Islam teaches a good code of morality it is the mad terrorist b******s who are immoral

any idea has the right to challenge a society to improve itself but a society has a framework for such challenge and as a higher evolved poattern of value has the right to protect iself from attack by an idea attempting to forcibly not demcratically supercede the society's present highest pattern of belief.

    a spiritual atheist

  8. There are wackos in every religion.  You may recall the 'witch' burning by Christians in Salem Massachusetts, or Joan of Arc who was burned at the stake.

  9. Because that's the only way they get noticed, they don't mix with white or black people which is most of the society.

I'm not racist but it's just strange how black & white people try so hard to bring peace & then muslims have to get involved.

They need to learn to stop ruining our countries & sort they're own out first.

  10. Let's start with Iraq. We invaded their country based on a lie, occupied their nation based on more lies, have dropped bombs on civilians 'by accident', have totally destroyed their infrastructure, have used Halliburton and KBR to try to rrebuild that infrastructure - and failed because both companies are totally worthless - and you wonder why they feel helpless, strap a bomb onto their bodies, and try to destroy the occupying army and the supporters of that occupying army.

  11. They are probably partially already ****** up in the head. Kuran is easily misread ( too easily ) so they go off and act on their impulse.

  12. because "minority" of them are radicals.

  13. because extremist islam teaches a polarized world view- good and evil. anyone who is muslim is seen as superior (within the EXTREMIST faith) and what you have left is the "other"- the outsider, which must be destroyed in order to give them a sense of superiority  and dominance. this persecution of "the other" has been practised throughout history..against women, blacks, g*y people, other nations, you name it..and is still going on, what with Bush's war on terror in which everything "American" is automatically deemed good by his administration, and everyone in the Middle East is seen as bad. Fundamentalist Christianity is portrayed as inherently good, and Islam inherently bad. never mind that these two faiths have much in common, both when practised in moderation (both good) and in their extremes (both bad) when will we wake up to the fact that we are all basically humans, and our humanity should be considered first. there are a lot of terrorists in the Middle East it seems, but there are also a lot of innocent individuals too, as when any group is persecuted..

  14. Because they are ignorant and feel that they are doing it for religion when they're clearly not. They want to feel that their morals and ethics are correct and that they're more superior than other human beings... It's mainly due to the lack of control in their lives and the clash of ignorance for other cultures, beliefs and religions in this world. At times, they feel strongly about their religious beliefs, but they have misinterpreted the Quran in many ways. It is also out of anger and they want to seek revenge. They use religion as an excuse for all of this when actually Islam condemns this.

  15. With every religion there is a line of progression, peace-full, moderate, fundamentalist, extremist and finally terrorist. With Islam the slightest criticism incites them right to extremist and terrorist is a "hair trigger" away.

  16. Extremism exists in all cultures and religions, and some of the most brutal extremist acts have been perpetrated by atheist regimes, the classic example being Enver Hoxa's Albania which officially made atheism state policy and many people were hanged for praying. Pol Pot is another example.

As in other religions, religious zealotry has existed among Muslims, yet it rarely resulted in mass violence. The only example that I can think of where extremists took up arms and succeeded is when Ibn Saud and his tribesmen took over what is now Saudi Arabia. But the House of Saud has also been friendly with the West, and the strict monotheists ("wahabis") have never wanted to invade or take over other nations or to spread Islam by force outside of their own region. Saudis do finance Islamic projects to propagate Islam but that is through peaceful means.

After the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the CIA working with Pakistani intelligence ISI and funded by Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, started the "Jihadi" movement in the border areas of Pakistan.  Jihadi textbooks were prepared at the University of Nebraska and distributed in the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan by the ISI. Religious extremists were used as "useful idiots" to get the

    Soviets out. It worked.

After Soviets left, Osama bin Ladin returned to his own native  country, Saudi Arabia, and two things happened: 1). the US decided to establish permanent military bases in Saudi Arabia after the first Gulf War, and 2). Israeli brutalities against the Palestinians and the Lebanese continued unabated, with impunity. Bin Ladin realized that

the Americans have no intention of ever leaving the Middle East, they have established full military control over Gulf countries, and they are hurting interests of Muslims by their actions or strategic non- actions, such as their refusal to condemn or pressure Israel. So his strategy was to use the same trick against the US as they themselves had used against the Soviets. The same team was selected.  The strategy didn't work this time for several reasons: 1). There was no super-power backing this time. 2). Afghans who had hosted the liberation movement had themselves become divided. 3). The Western Powers controlled the international media and the banking system. 4). The US forces were entrenched in too many Arab countries. 5). Unlike the Afghans, and contrary to American public opinion, the vast majority of Arabs do not normally stick their neck out unless they really have to, and they were afraid of Iraq-like chaos, and that's something that Bin Ladin also alludes to in couple of his speeches.

So even though al-Qaida strategy has failed, the desire on the part of ordinary Arabs and Muslims to liberate their countries from "Anglo- Saxon" hegemony has not ebbed. Hardly any Arab or Muslim believes that the US or Britain is fighting for 'their' freedom. They are the ones they need freedom from! To achieve their goal of having political and economic independence from the West, some Muslims have proposed uniting Muslims in some form or another, so that they would have the strength to stand up to Western imperialism. (Al-Qaida, by the way, never took that position). That was a mistake on the part of Arabs/ Muslims because Jewish lobbies immediately used the bogey of "global Jihad" for the establishment of a Caliphate to make a case that that is the root cause of terrorism-a demand that can never be met. The CORE political issues i.e., freedom for Palestinians and presence of US/British troops in the Middle East was then either ignored or quickly dismissed. So, for example, in the recent PBS series, "America at a Crossroads," towards one of the episodes they briefly mentioned that the US is keeping troops in 130 countries but wouldn't elaborate on it as the one of the very reasons why terrorists are attacking the US. That would have offended the Conservatives and Jews in this country; PBS chickened out. Not only that, PBS gave one full hour to Michael Isikoff to perpetuate this myth.

  17. Who knows? Why do some people become members of the Klu Klux Klan? perhaps it's boredom

  18. They're promised of a happy afterlife.

    Or more so tricked.

  19. Civilians + Poverty + Fanaticism = Terrorism

War On Terror = War On Civilians

It's all PSYOPs people. Psychological Operations. Invasion of Panama, except Panama = all of us.

  20. Misinterpretation of the words of the Quran. Extremists are dnagerous enough but when they misinterpret what is it they are extreme about it becomes ludacris.

  21. It's usually manipulation and brain washing by people with hate agendas. Our reaction often probably doesn't do a lot to help either.

  22. political disenfranchisement. religous brain-washing and deep hatred of the west and israel. im sure there are many other reasons or they wouldnt do it.

  23. BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE MAJORITY"S SUPPORT...!!!

  24. The term Islamic terrorist is actually an oxymoron because Islam means "peace" and lots of lecturer and sheikhs have talked about this. A lot of them become terrorists for political reasons and try to use Islam as a scapegoat which is unfair for the rest of us.

The Quran says killing an innocent human being is like killing all of mankind and saving a human being is like saving all of mankind.

  25. they belive that god loves them more when they do that.

that means better rewards in heaven.

i read once that at the end on judgement your deeds will be weighed and

if it tilts one way you go to heaven

the other way and well not so much!

however if you kill infidels in the name of allah

it is a straight shot through

  26. For the same reason a minority of Christians do, I imagine.  Timothy McVeigh was not a muslim.

  27. you knw - many people out there misguided people who are uneducated .

its very easy  to misguide ...   and without proper knowledge they become terrorist ...

the question is why a person cant think of his own ... no one can become terrorist until he wants to do the same ...

muslim is not terrorist - a heartless/fool  persone is terrorist ...

although i m not muslim ... but many frnd of mine is muslim , and they are very good .....

  28. Well the Koran actually states, that if you die, taking non believers with you, there will be virgins for you in heaven.

  29. because they are extremists and interpret the teachings of the Qu'ran to mean that people against them are worth killing. they take things to the extreme in a very bad way.

  30. Well most of them are Political motivated.

They use religion as an excuse to gain support for their cause,

even if their actions go directly against the religion.

  31. There is a minority in every section of society who will become "terrorists" regardless of race or creed. Think of the Christian sects in Northern Ireland. Any group of people who, for whatever reason, feel that their way of life of their country is under threat from some outside influence will try and fight back. If Russia (just as an example) invaded your country and imposed it's will upon you, would you try and fight back and therefore be seen as a "terrorist" or would you accept your fate. In a similar way, the Muslim "terrorists" feel that the western nations are threatening  their way of life and religion in Iraq and Afghanistan and are fighting back. The difference now is that because of modern technology and communications these attacks can be perpetrated on UK and US soil, rather than in the initial theatre of conflict.

Don't get me wrong here - I'm no supporter of their methods. Anybody who can kill innocent people in the name of God has somehow got their priorities a little warped (and I include everybody here - Muslims and Christians alike.) The real culprit is not the religious people, but the men manipulating vulnerable people into doing their work for them - those who brainwash ordinary men and women into believing that blowing themselves and other people up is the will of god. It is the will of man that perpetrates these atrocities, not god (this from an atheist!)
