Why is it that adults say kids and teens can't be in love? What separates a teen's affection from an adult's affection? Why can't a teen feel the same way about someone as an adult can?

Just wonder' :)

  1. das wat im sayin.im 12 and in love wid ma gal.an wid katie white out of ting tings.shes fit

  2. because there a$$hole$

  3. I know from my own experience that in teenage one can love so so deeply & it lasts over years. Not all teen 'love' shd be written off as

    'infatuation'.

Ability to love deeply & feel attracted deeply can come with puberty.

  4. You can definitely feel in love as a teen, it's just that your feelings are lot less stable at that age. You fall in love and think it's forever, but it never really lasts. The ultimate goal, I suppose, is to find the right person for you and to stay with that person for a long time, expect that as a teen, your personality isn't yet fully formed, neither is the other person's.

Experience is what tells adults that teens' love is not a lasting one. You will also learn to distinguish between love, desire, dream and affection.

  5. Well, I'm 15, but people say I'm very mature for my age and so I'll tell you why.

Because LOVE is a do, not a feeling.  Being in love and loving are different.  Love is an action of utmost giving yourself to this person.  This sometimes includes putting the other person first and making sacrifices.  Doing anything for this person.

Most teenagers think that it's enough to be infatuated, or obsessed.  Lots of teenage girls my age go out with people because they have crushes on each other, they don't love each other.

But I am fully confident in the fact that, depending on the teenager, and the teen's maturity, a teen CAN love.  But any love at our age is a more...immature love than a person of say 30.  But we CAN love.  It's annoying when an adult just looks at each and every one of us and says we never can.  We are not to be generalised, we are each an individual.

My mom got marrried at 17, and I asked her, "Does that mean that you didn't love my dad?"  But she was very mature then, more mature than me, practically a woman, and she said, "I loved him so much, or I wouldn't have married him, but my love was somewhat childish".

This is why I haven't yet gotten a boyfriend lol, and want boys   a couple/few years older, who are like me, and think that relationships should be serious and not a total waste of time.  I want to make sure that I go out with someone whom I genuinely love, and who I can see a future with.

Hope I could help:)  Bye!  xxxxx

  6. Because the human brain doesn't fully mature until about 20-22 years of age. Now that i am an adult I clearly see what that means.

  7. You kids are still wet behind the ears.  Come on, you only think it is love.  It is a pure infatuation.  You will see as you get older.  We adults, have been there and we have done that.  Different times, same results.

  8. Because old people forget what it's like to be young, and think just because they have been alive older, they know more.

    That's not true.

    Teenagers CAN be in love.

Respect should be EARNED not just given because somebody has an older birth certificate than you. Remember that.

  9. adults are just redarded :D

  10. apparently because were not as experienced and cant know for sure if what we are feeling is love in it's purest form or just an infatuation :P

  11. They assume that kids lack the wisdom and experience to tell the difference between love and infatuation, I guess.

As far as I am concerned the fact that a person is young doesn't make their love any less real or intense.

  12. Because they forget to REMEMBER having been children! And now they feel superior of knowledge.

  13. adults feel as if teens are too young to understand what love is. they may think they are in love but it could just be a crush. but hey who's to judge. no matter what age, love still hurts like h**l.
