Is the error human or technical?

It is said that sometimes the airplane runs out of physical space for luggage. However, sometimes bags end up at completely different destinations. i.e. A passenger checks his/her bag to Heathrow, London, but his/her bag ends up in Hamburg, Germany. Does anybody know????

  1. The airlines say late check-in is the number one reason because the luggage may not be loaded on the same airplane as the passenger. Second, bags get lost when passengers are making connections even if they are traveling with the same airline. Bags can be tagged erroneously at the airport and end up at the wrong destination. Tags get ripped off and there is no name and address to be found inside or outside the bag. Sometimes the bags are stolen.

  2. With so many millions of bags, things are bound to go wrong sometimes. It most often is a human error, but it can also be technical, or a combination of the two. Most often it occurs with multiple destinations and/or with destinations where the bags must be rechecked.

The bags ALWAYS follow on the same plane as the passenger, except when the PASSENGER has been late from a previous flight. Good luck!

  3. the tags get ripped off.

your late and they get put on another plane.

    they fall off the cart.

the wrong destination tag accidently gets put on yours when you and another person check in.

    to solve this problem

    make sure your on time

have a adress and name on the inside incase it does get lost

check the destination tag put on your luggage to make sure it is correct and if it is wrong confront the check in services.

  4. dont lsiten to any of dah people above me!! luggages get lost when they r driving them to the plane wit dat little car nd dey fall out as their driving nd datz how dey get lost at the airport...

  5. What you can do to help is when checking a bag,  get to the airport in plenty of time, be sure any old tags are off, and look at the bag tag to see that is checked to your destination,  When there a lot of people checking bags at the same time, the wrong tags can be put on your bag,  so keep an eye on that.
