  2. I was told that it was because of bomb fluids.  There is no fluid 3 oz. and under that can cause a big explosion.

  3. i think it really isnt the size so much but people were found with bomb fluid in shampoo and other stuff  

  4. It's ridiculous, isn't it?  You can carry on knitting needles, cigar cutters, plastic butter knives, personal lubricants, blunt tipped metal scissors under 4", and umbrellas but no liquids over 3 oz!

  5. Apparently, they assume that 3 oz of a liquid explosive will not create a large enough explosion to be overly worried about.
