I think you really ought to change the words "all Scottish people" to "some Scottish people"

Or better still, reword to

Why does there seem to be a trend towards head-butting people amongst the Scottish?

Still, I suppose they don't call it a Glasgow kiss for nothing...

The word 'all' seems to be the problem here.

Yeah, it's known as the famous 'Glasgow kiss', usually preceded by (translated):

"Can your mother sew, pal?"

(whatever the answer is)

"Then get her to stitch that!"

Then again, the weapon of choice when confronted with someone smaller than you, if you are unarmed, is the skull - generally it is hard and can be used with some force.

Also, it's not just a 'Scottish' thing.  In the old 80's TV series 'The Boys from the Black Stuff', the character of Yosser Hughes, with his catchphrase of 'Gissa job - I can do that.'  (as played by Bernard Hill, who went on to play Captain Smith in James Cameron's loooong version of Titanic) used to headbutt people as well.  A lot.

They don't.  Unfortunately the only Scot ever shown on TV is Billy Connolly and people assume that all other Scots are just like him.  They aren't.  

It's a bit like assuming that all Americans are just as eloquent as George Dubya Bush ...

Are you serious? I'm Scottish and have never head butted anyone. Get your facts right. I'm offended at your ignorance but maybe not surprised. Maybe if you had a quality Scottish education you would know better. Do you not suppose other nations have people who head butt?
