  1. in MO we have front and back plates so..... what are you talking about

  2. Not all cars have just one. Many states require one in the front also

  3. because state law requires it. Actually more and more states are going to having two plates.

The official reason is: numerous car thefts have been solved because thieves often only have time to remove one plate. State troopers are trained to run computer checks on vehicles bearing only one plate to ensure they are not stolen. Also, hit-skip motorists, often leave the front plate behind when it breaks

    off during a collision.

The real reason is so the red light cameras can get your plate and your face in the same picture and mail you a ticket.

Yet other states like Arizona let you custamize it to make your vehicle unique

  4. it is illegal to not have a front license plate, at least in Minnesota.  UNLESS it is older than like 1975.

I have a '66 Chevy El Camino with no front plate.

  5. its not all American cars. Some states require plates on the front of the cars... but some dont require it also. for instance. in Washingtonm, State they require vehicles to have plates on the front of the car. But in Arizona they dont... I dont really know why.

  6. police chase them from back not front

  7. well my pontiac g5 (its an american car) has plates on the front and the back

so i guess it just depends on the car, its not like an american car rule to only have it on the back side of the car

  8. It absolutely depends upon what United States state you

are licensed in.  Here in Ohio, you better have a front

license plate if you are registered in Ohio or you will get a citation!! However Michigan

Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia only put back license

    plates on your car.

I think some states have tried to save production costs by using only back plates

  9. In CT it's the law to have both...but not enforced. Been driving 15 years with rear plate only and no tickets.....knock, knock. :)
