Why do all these tweens and teens find it necessary to constantly "diss" McCain and Palin?

Is it so the black ones can "keep it real"?

Is it so the white ones can show their 2 black friends "dat der down wit it"?

Maybe I'm just too far removed from high school and college but these little MySpace-ers and Facebook-ers are so annoying. It's quite obvious they know absolutely nothing regarding real issues and policies. Obama's or McCain's.

Keep it real, ya'll. Real dumb!

Stay black!

  1. Actually, I am in my 20's and a multi-racial democrat and I know plenty of teens and tweens and I have never heard any of them "making fun" of Mccain or Palin. In fact, many of them are very interested in Palin now since her big convention speech the other night!

Oh, there is a report out today that Mccain's convention speech got even bigger ratings than Obama's and I'm guessing that's coz there were a lot of young ppl watching it, too!

  2. The schools and the teachers union are chiefly responsible.

"If you're 20 and not a Liberal then you have no heart. If you're 40 and not a Conservative then you have no brain."

    McCain/Palin '08

    Country First

  3. Who in their right mind, young or old, would want McCain and Palin in office?

They have no plan, no agenda and no vision of the future. All they can do is throw mud and talk about pit bulls with lipstick.

  4. They are brain washed by the liberal media and the liberal schools.  They recite rhetoric and have not yet learned to think for themselves.

  5. MTV and the liberal media tell them to.  Just ask them why they are dissing McCain and enjoy the blank stare that they give you.

  6. A lot of them are not even from America, lots of Brits and Canadians spinning c**p, they got nothing better to do, and they sure wont have a vote which counts!

  7. or... you could make gross generalizations about race...

which shows that regardless of your age... you have very little experience with diversity... which means...

you're probably a crotchedy old white man who won't drop the reigns till his arthritus overpowers his insecurity of confronting and accepting a changing society... and if you're not, you spend a lot of time with them...

change is thee only thing that remains the same.

  8. There are a lot of disses at Barrack too...or did you notice?

I dont get the impression you are a supporter of his..that's too bad. You should get on the bus.

But I disagree with on point..most of the criticism of Palinn and McCain ARE substantive..and comign from mature adults and echoed by mainstream media outlets (which the right is whinning about)  based on issues like war, energy, family values...

WHEREAS...most of the insult to Obama are innuendo about hi srace, religion, patriotism...SO who is being a tween? Riddle me that and your blackness is confirmed my undercover brother

  9. I'm seventeen and I am not that big on the election, nor am I big on the Facebook thing but, I am what I consider myself to be a Black Republican. I actually live in Washington DC, so I am around alot of kids who say Obama for president, and the reason I believe that they say it is because their parents think that having someone who has never had the responsibility of running a State will be better in office. So I think that the evironment that you are in has a big part to do with it, IF you cant think for yourself!!

  10. I think that they've just had enough of Dubya and think McCain will be the same, well, their parents do, they just agree with what mommy and daddy says, myself, I think McCain is a nice guy who doesn't take c**p, McCain 08!

  11. Doesn't say a lot  for our educational system does it? And they obviously aren't learning anything at home. Sad. The future of America.

  12. When you are young and naive it is easy to fall under the spell of obama.  The problem is the obamas are constantly telling us what they will do and lecturing us on what we should do while the older, not so cool McCain's have done so much and may expect us to do something to preserve the country.  What ever happened to ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?  Today it seems that its all about what they will allow us to have, not we can strive to accomplish.

  13. They can't find anything good to say about Obama other than "he'll change things".   They just can't figure out why they keep drinking the grape kool-aid.  With nothing else, they have to resort to personal attacks.

  14. right....I don't really see your point, but the reason people of all ages are "dissing" McCain and Palin are b/c they are not a competent team to run our country, and people are actually intelligent enough to see it this time around!

  15. Because they think McCain is an old guy and teens like making fun of old people. They believe it is acceptable. Also, they probably think because Palin has a teenage daughter that is pregnant, that they can rip on her for that. Teens at least understand that teen-pregnancy is usually bad and not a good thing, so they are proud that they can make a political opinion.

But you are right. All that is basically subjective opinion and tabloid c**p. Real politcal issues and the implications of changing certain laws and policies is probably too far over their head to understand.

The things they diss on are concepts they understand and feel cool that they can put their two cents in.

I don't think all teens are ignorant of politcal issues though. There are many bright young teens in this country and I bet a lot of them are still sticking to the real issues.

  16. Because along with plenty of middle-aged and older voters, they find the Republicans to be disgusting, hypocritical, big-spending, underqualified cynics.

  17. You must be kidding.  The two most fervent McCain/Palin detractors I know are both in their SIXTIES!  They were really pulling for Sen. Clinton now they're volunteering for Obama.

  18. They are programmed that way in school.  I remember my teachers saying "your parents are all racists" and celebrating earth day like it was new years eve 1999.  Their textbooks are written by liberals and are full of lies.

  19. tweens and those under 18 should not even be in the election section, their opinion does not count come Nov, I really wish YA would limit election section to 18 and older

    McCain/Palin 2008

  20. I agree w/ you 100 %.

However, I just turned 19 and I will be voting for McCain/Palin.

I graduated from hs in 2007 and I am now a political science major in college.

All Obama supporters (young and old) annoy me w/ their nonsense but I have to admit that I bought a McCain yard sign and a bumper  sticker.

People are just so amazed to see a young person, who does listen to rap music, w/ black and hispanic people in my car (my 2 bff) w/ a McCain sticker on the bumper.

    But someone has to lead...........right

and I've convinced a lot people (of all race) to vote for McCain!

  21. Yeah you are but that's ok colleges are mostly run by people with biased views and aren't very fair and balanced anymore.. High schools are becoming that way too.

  22. lmao this made me laugh.

its kinda like white people waiting for a black person to say something....so they think its cool to say it now.....so they start sayin it. by that i mean something that is potentially offensive

lil wayne has no influence in the white house....grow up people!

  23. kids today are being brainwashed by their teachers in school who are dumber themselves than a bag of rocks.

If teachers cannot teach students without asking quack shrinks to drug kids up on Ritalin, it means that the teachers are incompetent and need to be replaced ASAP!!

  24. Or, just possibly, like most kids, they can spot lying, condescending, disingenuous hypocrites a mile away.

  25. because mccain is exactly like bush and no one wants to have the same thing over again. and palin has no foreign policy experience and she has only been a GOVERNOR for almost TWO YEARS she is not ready to lead a country adn john mccain is too old to lead a country

"now dat wuz tru talk bra"

  26. It's because they are clueless about McCain and Palin's background and experience.  They just simply believe everything that Obama spews out of his mouth without doing any research on him.  Anything he says, they believe it, which is of course being totally naive and gullible.  Teens need to educate themselves about Obama - he's NOT the man they think he is!  Many young people see McCain and 'too old' to run the country, but age has NO barrier and puts NO limit on what people can do!  Palin is also much more experienced than Obama, but teens are just too taken in by his empty words and his speeches about 'change'!   He has NEVER said WHAT change(s) he's going to make - nothing but mere words - that's all.   In short, though, they're taught to go with the majority, which is whoever is more popular.

  27. B/c Obama put millions in encouraging the younger generation to vote.

    And, McCain...well none, nata, zip.

besides McCain is such a old f**t that it easy to make funny of him, and as far as Palin goes she does it too herself. "what is the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick"----she kinda insulted herself.

  28. I'm a teen, and I'm familiar with both Obama's and McCain's policies. I don't like what McCain has to offer. I know about the issues. I've been interested in politics since I was like freaking 14. I've done research, and I try to be educated so don't lump all teens together. Not every teenager is stupid. I see answers on here from adults that are uneducated

By the way, if the teens and tweens on here were "dissing" Obama/Biden you wouldn't be complaining would you? Just admit it

  29. I think a lot of it is just ignorance. Obama is young, liberal, well-spoken, although not necessarily the better leader. If they are following him just because he is black, they should listen to Jesse Jackson's latest statements!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2j64_6Aj3...

besides, who cares. They aren't voting.

  30. because it's in their best for Obama to get in

did you hear McCain address the issue of a College Education??

  31. It's a good question. I agree and think there are plenty of folks on YA who are tired of the kids posting ridiculous stuff.
