  1. I think that people allow their tongue to get lazy because it's a consonant cluster, so they think that saying "ax" is easier. I've heard other ethnicities say it too, not only Black people. It all boils down to laziness, but at the end of the day it's not a hard word to pronounce!

  2. just the way they speak thats all

  3. I NEVER pronounce that word like that, sorry to debunk your myth about all 34 million of us.....so you can make that 34 million blacks MINUS ONE who mispronounce that word

Oh, by the way, where did the words, "reckon", "yawn-too" (for you want to?), "howdy" and "yall" originate??

Why do I bother with this category of YA???!?!!?!?

  4. Not the ones in britain, well London. We ( meaning all the races in London) say ARSKED.

The person who gave me a thumbs down- Have you been to London. If so you'd know all about intrusive R's. Look it up on wikipedia.

  5. Well observed... its just a colloquialism that has developped just like any slang or abbreviated term.

  6. Blacks are a southern culture and that's just their accent. Being black myself I should know

  7. i have always wondered this aswell, r kelly says it in the worlds greatest song, i think its the worlds greatest anyway, or maybe ignition lol x

  8. did anyone notice tyler can't spell

  9. its easier... there a LOT of words people of all cultures mispronounce, you were probably raised to say them one way and never knew better.  My family mispronounces the word antenna... they all say an-tan-a... it drives me crazy.

  10. Yes this is very true hmm I think it might just be black people from Southern England who do this - then again Ricky Lake is on right now and I just heard an American black woman say it - No you're not being racist at all - like you said it's just an observation and a correct one too!!  And you didn't say 'ALL' black people just 'ALOT' of black people.

I agree with the fact that it's just 'lazy' speech - I am guilty of this too - I can never be arsed to pronounce the 'T' in a lot of words like 'butter', 'water' etc

  11. Not this black girl.

  12. Not this black person, I say axed or Asked. But never AKSED.

  13. lack of education. spelling enducation to be specific

  14. yes ive noticed to, but i havent a clue why chick

  15. yep ive noticed that too! it drives me mad but i guess its just the way they speak!

  16. Do you even know me doll?

Im black and dont chat like that so yr observation is so inaccurate....Maybe its the illeterates that speak like they tongue-tied end off..

  17. drives me nuts dunno

  18. It's not just black people,I've heard a lot of teenage white lads where I live say it and I live in Northampton. It's not a colour issue,it's a dialect and culture thing.

  19. Just a cultural difference like tomato tomatoh potato potatoh.

  20. LOL! Haven't you asked this question like 5 times before?

I'm just axing or should I say akseding?

  21. WHY DO YOU CARE? SHOULDN'T YOU BE GETTING READY FOR SCHOOL TOMORROW TROLL?

  22. it goes way back to the slave days when they were picking up the english language,   and the reason they say axed is because it is a Freudian slip, they really are saying axed, cause it is really what they want to do ax alot of people,     lol

i like the way they say MInes, for mine,    they are not even referring to what they possess, they are looking at all the diamond and other mines all over the world,

the blacks see things differently than the other races,    they love to say mens and womens

good ole blacks, what would the world be like without those ole down home southern slave days blacks,   the civil war and soon after was a great time, such a peaceful time, in this country and almost everywhere in the world,   those day s will never be again,

  23. it's just idleness, they can't be @rsed speaking properly.

  24. lol yes i noticed that as well.

I have even heared actors use it......good question
