  1. So you can read AMBULANCE in your mirrors.  Mirrors reflect the image backwards so if it is written backwards it will appear the right way when viewed in the mirror.

  2. Yes, everyone is correct........this is done so that you can read the word 'AMBULANCE', when you look in your rear view mirror. Of course, if its lights and sirens were on then you would also SEE it..........or look for it.

Even if threre is an AMBULANCE behind you without lights and sirens on, they could get a call to go to an EMERGENCY and could suddenly put ON those lights and sirens, so it is a good thing to know there is one behind you, right? That way, you are prepared.

  3. thats because whenever a driver wants to see whats at the back of the car he uses the rearview mirror. And as taught in class 6 if you see in a mirror whatever is written you see always its opposite.so whenever the driver see's the rearview mirror he see's AMBULANCE not ECNALUBMA

  4. So that you can read it through you rear view mirror..

  5. So if its behind you, you can read it in your rear view mirror.
