  1. We didn't win WW I and WW II.

The war was being lost before our involvement, so, while we didn't win it, we played a major part in it.

  2. They don't think they "won" World War 2, but they did play a major role in helping us win it. In fact they did just as much as us (UK), it's just they weren't damaged by it as much. Like it or not, without Americas help there is a 50/50 chance we could have been defeated by the Germans. Basically, you don't know what you're talking about, so I wouldn't embarrass yourself. On the contrary I do hate it when I hear Americans say things like "We saved your asses in WW2", because they didn't 'save our asses' and the only reason they entered the war was not to help 'save us' but it was because the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbour.

  3. Who the h**l are the Ameicans?

do they sell auto insurance or something?

  4. Um.  Because we did?

  5. Because they did. Why do you think we did? Without the Americans we would have been beaten. OK, they didn't do it alone, but they don't think they did either. They did actualy win it because they came it at the right time to end it and they helped us and our side won.

  6. wether or not what you think, we did liberate Europe twice.....

  7. the American's were dragged kicking and screaming into WW2.  They kept up the 'let Europe fight her own battles' for many years due to American public opinion.  The only reason they came into the war was that after Japan attacked Pearl Harbour and the Americans declared war on Japan Germany declared war on Europe.  The Americans used it as a chance to sell armaments and supplies (beginning of lend-lease which became a burden around our necks for many years).  They took advantage of a bad situation.  Even in the Japanese controlled countries, there were very few Americans in the camps compared to other nationalities.  It was said "America will fight to the last European" - including England and Russia!  In fact, the tide had turned to Russia's advantage and they were pushing the Germans off their terratory before America joined the war.  The main reason that America gave so much for Europe was trade links and influence after the war - certainly not for the good of England or Europe!  In fact, early in the war they couldn't have given a toss who won!

  8. They helped us so they don't get all the credit

  9. The allies gave the Germans a huge Tax Invoice in the form of a treaty.

  10. Without our Freedom bombs, there would be no McDonalds in France.

Yeah, I don't know what that means either.

  11. hahahahahha.,...lets see...the Japanese surrendered in WW2 along with the other axis powers surrendered in WW1. In both cases America was the leading force. Can't understand why we would think we won....oh yeah, I forgot, the world isn't talking German and Hitler is dead....If we lost I'm sure we would all be speaking German....

    if we lost, explain how?

  12. Americans know that WWI and WWII wouldnt have been won without them.

The greatness of America is that after liberating countries that had fallen to the n***s we gave the countries back. Pretty nice of us huh?

  13. Regarding WWI:  By the spring of 1917, the Russians were in a state of revolution and bordering on dropping out of the war (which they did soon thereafter).  The French and Brits were pinned down along the Western Front in the stalemate of trench warfare.  The position of the lines had changed by less than 25 miles since September 1914.  The only bright spot in the months leading up to the American entry was the Canadian victory at Vimy Ridge, but this was tactical rather than strategic in scope.

Once thousands of doughboys began to arrive in France to strengthen Allied lines, the war was effectively won.  It went from the theoretical to the concrete with the Meuse-Argonne offensive, the first of the war in which an American Army fought as a single unit rather than part of a bigger Allied drive.  It was the Americans who drove the Germans back during the period of May-October, 1918, not the Brits or French.  While the Allies fought valiantly, their will to fight had been sapped by that late date.

  14. It's disrespectful to ignore the sacrifice and contributions the United States gave in the fight against nazism and fascism.

You are just saying these things because you hate the United States.

  15. Who did won WWI and WWII it wasn't the Germans?

America was on the winning team.

The vast amount of men and material use to win the war came from the U.S.

We didn't win it alone we won with help from other countries.

I think it is very disrespectful to not acknowledge what we added to the effort.

  16. Well, world war 1 and 2 have a lot to do with with America.  The US banks funded it all and by the end of it walked off with the rest of the worlds economies.

  17. I'm American

and I believe the Allies won world was 1 and 2.

that is what they teach in US History.

  18. well they didn't win, but they played a big part in it.

  19. well they have never won a war on their own... they need some claim to fame.

  20. Who do YOU think won?

    Germany?

  21. Putting to one side the silly and immature answers from the usual ignorant people the Allies won both wars. No one should belittle the vast American effort in men and materials to enable the winning of the war without it the war would have gone on for years longer. When Hitler attacked Russia that was the beginning of the end for Germany. Just remember the US only entered WW 1 in 1917 and in any numbers to fight a major battle in July 1918 the last year of the war. In WW 3 they entered the war only after being attacked by the Japanese but previously had been supplying Britain and the Commonwealth with war materials which were paid for. People on Answers should read factual history before answering.

  22. I think a lot of their historical knowledge comes from Hollywood films.

  23. So I suppose you think Japan, Germany, and Italy won????

Are you trying to rewrite history???

  24. We don't think "we" won them, we think the Allies won them, and we happened to be in that group. As for disrespectful, it's the way you're sounding now.

  25. I think everybody who was on these wars and tried to save innocent people  and Homeland can think that they won!...
