Why do ants always curl up in a ball when they die?

ive always wondered that and i cant seem to find an answer even with as much googling as i do

  1. i would think it has something to do with their electrical impulses firing from the brain, which could cause the muslces to contract in a certain way. i know that in the past when ive been shocked that certain muscles contracted while others slackened, however, all muscles cant contract at the same time or the skeletal structure would shatter.
