I'm getting an apartment & I totally understand the MINIMUM salary requirements, but why the MAXIMUM salary requirements?

Since when is it BAD to make more than enough money? Wouldn't that mean there's a GREAT chance all bills will be paid?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

  1. Maybe there is rent control - they have cheaper rents than other places, but want people who need the lower rents to get these apartments.

  2. The complex you are inquiring about might be what is called a "tax credit property".  This has to do with the mortgaging on the complex.  It was possibly partially financed by government money.

Tax credit properties do have maximum salary requirements.
