  1. Arabic women face covers or masks with a  grille or net are not made of "iron" but a mesh made with tightly twisted threads that makes it rigid.  Iron would make too hot in the sun and their faces would be burnt.

Muslim women used to hide their face because they are not supposed to be seen by strangers, namely men alien to their family. It was a way of making sure they were not attractive to them as they had to marry people chosen by their family. Once they were married they remained hidden so as not to attract other men.

Young women are less inclined to wear them as they think they are uncomfortable and outdated, but the old ones stick to  traditions and the habits of a lifetime.

    See:

The article describes all the kinds of covers worn by Arabic  or Muslim women  to hide their face or their shape.

  2. Is it ok then for an Arabic woman who is Old or really Ugly to be exempt from covering her face ? What is the danger ?

The truth is that Muslim men are deemed to be lecherous and other husbands feel they are protecting their women from falling prey to such men. It may also be that Muslim Men feel insecure and want women to be hidden under the Burqua

  3. I guess you are talking about piercing.

this is a traditional piercing habit that was common in some Bedouin tribes in the arab world and even in india and pakistan.

this habbit is not normal these days. instead, piercing became more popular in the west, LOL

  4. I'm an Arab, egyptian and I never saw an old Arab woman wearing iron on her face unless shes from some extremist cult that I don't know about .. Hope I helped
