  1. for their safety, and convenience

  2. i never seen that..

but its probably because they either don't have enough change left to change it or they don't wanna keep large bills in the register that late at night.

  3. yeah... probably.. or maybe it's a robbery issue? idk..

  4. because they don't want to carry large bills in the register and have to go to the safe for more change.....they mostly keep just 10 20's in the register with the other extra bills..and put the xtra 20's in the safe box drop.

  5. There lazy and don't won't to go to the bank to get change.

  6. For safety, they do not want to have large bills in the till.  It is probably against most policies to have over a certain amount in the register after a particular time. And once the change is given out there may not be enough to give the next person.  That would leave a large bill in the register as I would doubt that the late shift would be authorized to make a money drop.

Also it is possibly to prevent the passing of counterfeit bills.  I know they have the little pens to check, but the late shifts are normally staffed by "kids" and the managers are not much more mature.

  7. Banks are closed and they need to have all the small bills they can get until the next day and they don't want to get robbed with many big bills.
