australians are given a license to drive for 3 years before they are allowed a full license, surely they should not be allowed to drive untill they are skilled enough to hold a proper license, this is the only country i know that does this

  1. .

The more implementation of restrictions on new drivers the better.

I believe retesting for higher performance vehicles should be the norm too as well as retesting every 5 years.

    .

  2. For every ones safety and this is something that is needed in the united states, teens are why too immature, reckless and daredevils, the longer the better.......

  3. nooo.......we still can drive!

So, first one, you passed the theory test, then you get "L" plate, which is: you could drive, but someone who's holding full license MUST be supervising you at all time.

Second, you passed driving test, and you get "P1" plate which is: you can drive on your own now, but with engine limitation(no turbocharged or V8 whatsoever) & 90 speed limit.

Third, you passed computer-based hazard persception test, you get "P2" plate which is: same like P1, but speed limit to 100kph.

Now then...you passed another computer test and you get the full one. No engine limitation & speed limit to 110(that's max speed in Oz)

Why so complicated? Because many teens "who think they can drive" trashing their lives out there......and injured many others as well.....that's why.

  4. You can drive, but just under probationary period.

In Malaysia, ours is 2 years because our legal age of driving is 17.
