Question:

Why do authorities laud the conduct of the 37 passengers?

This week a poor young innocent man was butchered while he slept on a Greyhound bus. After the incident, cops and authorities had praise for the passengers conduct. What did these 37 passengers do that was so praiseworthy? Confronted the lone butcher? Everyone through their shoes at the guy to distract him from harming the smaller victim? NO---THEY WE PRAISED FOR RUNNING AWAY---albeit in an "orederly fashion"! I am not brave or heroic and I don't know what I would have done at the moment, but to praise the passengers for fleeing makes my stomach turn. There was no "Tod Beamer" -- no "Let's roll" moment for his crowd. I don't blame them I guess--heroes are rare, but the comments from the authorities make me want to puke. What say you?

  1. Big words for a person who wasn't on the bus!!!  What would you have done?   Yeah!  Do what they did!  Hind sight is 20-20.

As for the person who answered "They were Canadians",  I ask you: Who cared for all the American aircraft passengers in the 9-11 crisis and asked for nothing in return?

  2. Dennis T  Just because there were no heroes on that bus you cannot paint all Canadians with the same brush. Would you have taken this nutter on alone ?

  3. Yes that was no hero's there.I don't think any of them should be applauded for anything, not one is praise worthy.

  4. Big governments like cowardice in their populace.

  5. The 37 people were Canadian. Next question.

  6. There was nothing they could do.  I doubt very much you would step in and interrupt a madman butchering someone and screaming like a lunatic.  The fierceness and violence of that horrible act was enough to make anyone's blood run cold. Your first instinct would be to run which they did.

I guess what they did that was praiseworthy was they barracaded him in, disabled the bus so he could not take off, and rumours on the internet have it there was even cannibalism involved as he gutted that poor guy, and this animal was shoving his arm out the window flailing that knife around and arrogantly through out that fella's severed head at the shocked and horrified crowd outside.

The fact they contained this psychotic rather than run and let him loose on the world is definitely praiseworthy.  A passing trucker stopped and helped contain him too.

No telling where he could have run to and who he would have butchered otherwise.  These people are traumatized for life with that image burned into their memory. Do you think they won't suffer from guilt wondering if they could have somehow stopped that?  Well I'll tell you they COULDNT have.  And the last think people need is an ignoramus like you to speak their two cents about nothing, not knowing and not having a clue as to what you speak of.

Answer your question??  Maybe next time you can be witness to something like that and you can tell us exactly what you did differently.

You got your idiotic replies that you were soliciting apparently so nice to know idiots travel in packs.

And don't even attempt a comparison with 9/11. You're comparing a bunch of people stuck in a suicidal airplane to a bus where people had an option?  Please----you're overbearing superiority complex and arrogance is showing once again - yawn.

Believe me your Tod Beamer might not have been such a hero had he the option of running out the door too.

The only option left on that airplane was to die quietly or die trying.  Don't compare apples to oranges here.
