Why do baby sea-turtles always head straight for the ocean ?

how do they now where to go if they cant see anything ?how do they know they're on the right direction?

According to my toddler daughters book on loggerheads, they're able to sense where the horizon meets the sea helping them to guide the right direction. They also note that street and city lights can cause them some confusion so, it seems that it would be something visual.

I suspect they probably can smell the Sea salt-water, & that stimulates them to head towards it...

Its their instinct and GOD created them that way.

natural instincts i guess, same as how do the geese know how to fly south in a v formation?
