Why do bad things happen to good people and the other way around?

on a lesser scale it seems worse for good people when they have bad things happen as they don't seem to deserve it and with bad people you always sub consciously want things to be in measure of their actions so it doesn't always add up  but in reality its just random chaos and it happens to us all but not in the measures we deserve that comes in the after life.......... maybe lol

Why not? Who told  you that this life is fair and the things that happen to you happen as a reward or punishment for being good or bad? Lif is not santa clause you know!!
