Question:

Why do banks have such crappy hours?

they open AFTER/AT THE SAME TIME everyone gets to work and close usually 1/2 hour BEFORE people get out of work. (presuming the "average" 9-5 work day) on saturdays, when everyone has free time, they are only open for 3 hours. the post office seems the same way. doesn't this seem like a poor business model, i.e. make yourself the least accessible to working folk as you can?

  1. Because the banks want you to do more of your banking online - it saves them money and you end up doing their job for them for example checking your account, paying bills, moving money between accounts - the list goes on and on!

  2. LOL! Why do you think they call it banker's hours.

It can be inconvenient at the very least. As for the business model, neither the post office which is government run or the banks are "in business" to be model businesses. There interest is not our convenience.

    Blessings!
