  1. Because, sadly, employees are just numbers and means for the corporation to make money... they do not care about people, only profit.


  2. WalMart could raise prices 1 cent on every item they sell, and

    could cover every employee with decent medical insurance coverage. But,of course, they won't. That penny would ruin

    their image as the "low-price leader". In their corporate minds, anyway.

  4. They wouldn't be a 'big business' if they paid all of their workers fairly.
