Why do birds fly in front of cars?

ive heard that they do it for an "adrenaline rush"

could that be possible?

  3. Same reason people run in front cars and get killed sometimes. They didn't see the car or they think they can pass before the car arrives.They do not percieve its speed. Bad judgement.

    I disagree that animals cannot make choices. My cats choose where to sleep. They choose to ignore me and go to my wife. They choose to eat what I offer them or cover it up.

    Hummingbirds choose to sit on this limb or that tree. They choose to fight or flee. They choose to stay or go.

  4. No.  That would require the bird to make a choice.  Animals do not make choices, they simply respond to stimuli.  They do not intentionally fly in front of cars.  They are just flying.

  5. maybe and maybe not, some birds might just not know that the car is coming,

  6. there is a draft coming off of your car that lifts them up in the air. they may be responding to stimuli, but that stimuli may just be sending them up soaring through the air.
