they are simply cold, soo they go to where its warmer, if your cold you put on a jumper

In the northern hemisphere (top half of the earth) it gets cold and they fly south for better weather. In the southern hemisphere when its winter they fly north.

To find warmer weather. It's amazing how far they fly isn't it? I would just find a nice warm barn or something if I was a bird. I suppose it comes down to instinct though.

because supposedly its supposed to be cooler south of the equator but its just something they do to get to a warmer area.

u must be kidding. they want to go somewhere where is hot cause they like hot weather . i mean, not every bird. just a few.
