  2. they secretly want to wake you up ;]

  3. Birds don't make noise.  People make noise.  Birds cant be b******s.  Only people can be b******s.

There is a peak of activity early in the morning for many species of bird.  Then they go about doing their thing and taking a break.  Birds are not active all day long.

  4. may animals are only active at dawn and dusk. not just birds...

from the scientific perspective anyway. from my perspective, that's what i call nature's alarm clock. that is the world waking up. if you listen closely you can hear it stretch and yawn too.notice everything gets noisier and quieter at curtain points of the day?(like when my kids take a nap, then everything get's louder right before they wake up...hmm)

  5. Birds sleep at night so when the sun comes up they start to sing to let other birds know they are alive and well and still protecting their territory.  They may also sing to let their mate or chicks know their location. Birds are most active in the early morning and the late afternoon (they have to feed before dark).  They are least active during the hottest part of the day.
