  1. This is a bunch of hooey. Black Americans and Black Africans could be identical or they could be opposites (in personality and beliefs).

  2. This is true. Africans have lived under system of absolute depravity in most cases and government oppression typically billed as social security. That so called security never allows room for personal freedom, economic or otherwise. They generally view such things as the hallmarks of the American system. I personally see the US as as much an oppressive socialist system as most thirdworld nations but those who live in the thirdworld are better off in the US than in their native lands.  In their native countries they are relegated to poverty and oppression by whoever has the biggest gun. All of the feelgood attempt to make Africa better by giving the countries large sums of money on serve to prop-up the existing dictators and tyrants thereby perpetuating the problem the activists thought they were assuaging. But at least the activists can rest their pretty little head on the downy soft pillows in their air conditioned bedrooms satisfied of their good deeds on behalf of the Africans.

Whereas in the US they may not be guaranteed a specific social status but at least they have the opportunity to reach for something better, and this is all any rational human being needs. Americans (not just Blacks) have been spoiled by government largess and conditioned to a generational cycle of dependency that blinds them to the virtues of perseverance and individual responsibility.

  3. Africans want to be here. Some black Americans do not appreciate anything this country has to offer. Africans are embarassed by much of the preception of black culture in the US. Rap, drugs ,crime, s*x...

  4. Because outsides always appreciate things more than insiders. To them American is like WOW but to Black Americans its just like Ehh since they have been here their whole lives.

Its kinda like you think your house is just whatever but when a visitor comes he or she is like "Wow you really have a great house!"

  5. South Florida is an excellent example of the differences between African Americans and Latin Blacks.

The blacks who come here from the Carribean have little or no respect for native Afro Americans. They actively dislike them and look down on them.

There is, in truth, a huge difference in lifestyle and the morality and work ethic of the two groups.

  6. Africans and African-Americans have completely different upbringings.  Of course, they would have different views and attitudes towards America and white people.  Every person is a unique individual.  Assuming they would have the same views just because they have the same skin color is a bit racist.

  7. People who come here from other countries choose to do so, so they can be expected to have a positive view of America or they would not have come. Your point is also true of white immigrants vs  the white native born.

  8. Because they have not been indoctrinated by people like Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson. In Africa, they actually have to take responsibility for themselves in order to succeed. In America, no such expectations have been placed on blacks. Quite the opposite in recent times, actually.

  9. Skin color doesn't bind them together.  That's like saying all Asian people should view all white people the same.  They are from two different continents and life experiences.
