Why do black people...?

Question

...have websites such as myblackspace.net and organizations that are exclusively for african american people? My main question is: Why is this acceptable whereas if someone developed a "whitespace.com" for white people only - it would likely be considered racist?

This is a serious question - I am curious as to why it is widely accepted when black people have fraternities and sororities and things like that that white people are not allowed to join? How is this any less racist than white people saying they don't allow blacks into their sorority/website/club?

I am not racist. I am just curious.
