thats like a jew saying the hollacost was a really good time! which it was not! its was terrible!!!

you say those things and it makes referrance to a day when black people were treated not like humans. if i was black and you called me that i would rip you to pieces out of respect to the older black men and women!

  1. i so agree!me being an african american its crazy!it was a topic at mi school when mi whole class and i were eating lunch!so the convo drifffs off into the matter and i here them say its ok for someone of ur own skin(like a african american calling another african american the n word its ok)to say it but if someone not of ur skin tone u would get mad!thats crazy and thankfully i was pulled away from that convo quickly by mi friend!anyways the point is no one of any skin tone should call anyone the n word!unless u have permission(which will never happen ever)i would get mad like u said if anyone no matter the color of his/er skin i would get mad!and i dont think the n word is a term of endearmeant maybe some uneducated ppl said that not knowing what they were saying!and the n word is not in mi dictionary(websters i got it in 2005 but i can see if its old and not updated!)anwyas the only term this n word is,is a cuse word or what lil kids call it bad words!its foolishness for anyone to say it at all!i see where u are going and sad to say im not sure why ppl do the things the do or say!i guess we all have to suffer it!

hope i helped and God bless

  2. I don't get it either~~~ I know many of my close friends say that they hate it and it is degrading to the rest of their race.... some things I guess we will never understand

  3. It's a way of taking something that would be offensive and making it a sign to the rest of the world that you are a part of a group.  If you look at it, the people calling each other "n" don't call all black people that name, just the ones in their group.  For them, it is a term that shows they are close enough to be allowed to use it for each other.  If they used it on any other African American person it would have the normal offensive meaning and they would get that reaction.  But in the group it shows that they are also group members.

It's like women who call each other "b*tch".  For them it's a sign that they are close and can do that.  But if any one else used that term on them, they'd quite frankly get b*tchslapped.

  4. No, it's not like a Jew saying the Holocaust was a good time. It's like a Jew telling a Jew joke to another Jew. And I've met Jewish people who do it all the time.

I've met Mexicans who call each other "beaner".

Different black people have different feelings about it.

Why does it bother you? You're not black.

Personally, I don't do it. But I was raised a different way.

Why do you assume all black people do it?
