My manager for my part is a female, in total we have about six mangers. (yes hotel) two female managers and four male managers. This guy is suppose to be parking cars for guests or help carry the guests suitcases upstairs.........but all he mostly do is sit, get free drinks like soda from the bar, look at females who come from all around and even checked out Allen Sanders wife/girlfriend when they stayed.

But when any manger sees this they either laugh and so boys, and he became the favorite because of it! ALL of them and the female manager just says boys will be boys.......he gets paid for parking a few cars and sitting for hours at a time and takes his breaks.

Also three other males get this treatment and its unfair how stress free they are when us females get it hard, like were always told to smile, I get no breaks, and twice one of the female workers was caught looking at a magazine and got a warning!!

Why is it that females are treated unequal in the work place?

  1. At my workplace, it's the opposite.  The females yack on their cell phones all day while the men do all the work.  I guess it depends on the workplace.

  2. Any work environment where employees are treated unequally is a sign of poor leadership.  Poor leadership breeds all sorts of problems that can directly affect you.  ie, being overlooked for a raise/promotion, finding yourself being held responsible for a problem created by management.

Find a new employer with a good leadership team that is focused on equality and growth opportunities for employees and also excels in customer service and experience.

  3. cuz businesses are ruled by men

  4. Sounds like you need to get a new job.

  5. i work in a male work force, i'm the only girl out in the workshop and not to be big headed or anything but i am honestly the only person who does work all the guys slack off and the manager, work shop controller, and head mechanic are all males so they don't see they are doing anything wrong. IT SPIGEN IRRITATING! I really would love to see more males do more work in the work place!!!! they aren't paid to do nothing!

  6. you are right, females a being treated unequals, women are the ones who are pampered in society. Who told you that men are allowed to slack off.IF a boss fights a male worker slacking off he gets fired.

so dont imply that being a man is easy

being a female has more pros than cons.

  7. I found that i was harder on the females under me in the military, then the men.  Not that I let the guys slack off, I expected them to do their jobs but I didnt push them beyond that.  But i had higher expectations for the women, demanded more out of them, and was a lot harsher with them.

I'm still try to reason out why i did this.  I know part of it was that, being female in the job we were in that had just opened to women.  We didnt just represent ourselves more our whole d**n s*x to the higher ups.  A female looking bad made me look worst then a male looking bad.

  8. Um.. when the slacker enters the real world he will find a rude awakening.

I think the female manager has a thing for the slacker.

I work in a hotel as a night auditor(only male employee atm)

and I am treated no different then the other employees here.

If you notice that this is a continuing problem I suggest you talk to the owners.

But don't feel to bad about ragging on us guy's, we notice the same thing (or similar thing) at some job's where the manager is male and let's a cute female employee get away with anything..

Just a fact of life, some people aren't qualified to manage.

Well in some cases people who "work too hard" may tend to feel that others are slacking off.

When everything is said and done is a person's work the best they can do or within acceptable margins?

And is the task there paid to do done in a timely manner?

In some factories managers try to get work done on time, but not ahead of schedule because that can create problems with storage, shipping and other projects.

And a stressed out work enviroment= greater chance of accident's, lower immune system of the workers and generally lower morale.

If the company is still in bussiness they must be doing something right. So do your job, and relax a bit when you can.

(Well I get along good with the owners because I work hard, never miss time+ I work alone for the most part...)
