  1. PROBABLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO...

THERE ARE RULES THAT CHANGE ALL THE TIME, AND THIS IS PROB. A NEW RULE.

    I HATE IT TOO....AAMOF, I THINK MOST PPL...HATE IT.

BUT, IT'S LIKE A LOT OF THINGS...(COMMERCIAL VOLUME TURNING UP BCZ THE ADVERTISERS 'COMPRESS' THE AIRWAVES AND FORCE IT ON US....

SO, WE'RE STUCK WITH TV VOLUME GOING UP ON COMMERCIALS, AND 'CLAIMERS' AT THE END OF POLITICAL TV ADS BEING SAID.

WE'RE ALL JUST PAWNS IN THE CHESS GAME OF LIFE...don't you know?

  2. Philip is right, and I think it is policy or law, so watchdog groups can monitor how much money candidates are spending.

  3. It is their stamp of approval.  It shows that the ad is legit.

  4. Because once they say that,,it means it is their ad and keeps fly by nights making comments on the air that they are not aware off.  After Nov you won't have to hear it again until the next election.

  5. Actually, they have NOT been doing it for years. That practice is relatively new and was brought about by the need to endorse campaign advertisements.

Not too many years ago, anyone who put up the cash could make a campaign ad. Some of them were false and misleading and reflected badly on the various candidates they were intended to support. (In some cases, they were intended to hurt the candidate they were claiming to support.)

The addition of the ad endorsement separates the official ads from the fraudulent ads.
