Why do bottles only last an hour??

Question

How come formula-made bottles only last 1 hour if they are not refrigerated?? My mom said it was because the milk is heated...but I work at a coffee shop and friends say they still drink their hot drink up to 2 or 3 hours later...but then again they have to pay for the drink. So what is the reason we have to throw the formula out after an hour of being in room temperature?

bacteria from babies mouth get in the bottle and warm milk is a really good environment for it to grow.  Then baby can get sick because they dont have very good immune systems yet
