Why do british gas keep you on the phone for 20 mins before they answer your call?

  1. why call them?

    send a strong letter "recorded delivery" telling them your problem and explaining that being put on a waiting list for 20 minutes is not what you had in mind when it came to a help line.

    they might say that their lines were busy in which case you can politely point out that if they did their job right then there would not be that many problems thus reducing the number of people calling in for help which would then make the waiting time less

    you may also point out to them that now you have had to invest time and money writing to them you expect the cost of this to be deducted from your next bill or added to your card next time you top up otherwise the matter will be passed on to the ombudsman.

    Never let ANY company get away with treating you badly. you pay for a service you should get it.

    if you dont, MAKE THEM PAY.........not you


  2. Because you let them.....if I get put on hold or a

    list of " choices " when I call somewhere I hang up....life's to short to wait for them.

    Oh and there making a fortune too usually !
