Why do bugs like light? I hate the 20 character rule...?

There's like this fly in my room tho' and it keeps flyin around my lamp. I try turning off the light and it comes to my computer screen which is more annoying

Cockroaches hate light. They are bugs too.

You can use bug lights (yellow) but not much you can do for your computer screen.  I have never tried a yellow sheet of acetate over the computer screen.

Certain types of insects(moths are a great example) use the moon to guide them, and can mistake a streetlight,lamp, etc. and could be misgiuded and get close to it...

i know that is so aggervating, i havent figured that one out either, but they do hate the florescent lights, you may wanna invest in one of those, i have one on the porch and it keeps them away.
