Why do bugs tend to go up peoples' noses?

Your fault not theirs.  You may not notice it but when you breathe with your mouth closed you draw air in through your nose.  Any critter light enough to fly around your face can get drawn in.  They are also attracted by both our breath and the moisture in our eyes, nose and mouth.
