Why do bumblebees and honey bees have fur?

You've obviously never seen a bumbler of a honey one, then, CST!!

They look fuzzy.

  2. They look fuzzy but they are not. What you see are very short, stiff hairs.

  3. I think God gave them "fur" so that pollen would get stuck in it and promote pollination.  Fur can't really help a cold-blooded animal stay warm.

  5. I don't know about the honey bee, but the bumblebee has fur for a lot of reasons.

    It helps keep them warm in harsh northern climates (like canada/scotland) and later in the year as well, It catches pollen and helps pollenate flowers when honey bees are all dying too >.>

    When the bee is flying, it builds up static electricity in it's fur and then as it lands on flowers all of the pollen is just zapped up and sticks onto them ^_^

    It also helps warn away predators with it's distinctive yellow black stripping
