  1. hmmm good question, its like when i was learning to drive my instructor would always wave to other insructors even ones he didnt know

  2. its a way of saying lots of things all at once, hello, hows your day, i know what you feel like, are you ok.

we dont always wave we do other signs too:

draw finger across thoat = about to finish or finished

more hand to look like talking / animals beak = indicator light still on.

hand in front of eyes = headlights on full beam.

  3. Its like being a memeber of a unique club!! Memebers of certain clubs have funny handshakes.... Reliant Robin drivers used to beep their horns at each other, bus drivers wave to each other, and motorbike riders nod at each other ( my husband does it, and it always makes me smile )....but they DO NOT acknowledge scooter riders...theyre the lowest of the low.....cant be considered to be 'proper' bikers!!

  4. I have always wondered that too

I think it is becuase they are friendly people and they do the same job so why not give a little wave

It dosent kill you to be nice for once

We need those kind of people in our world

  5. they r just bing friendly.

  6. Camaraderie, saying hello to someone who knows what you're going through.

It sometimes gets weird, though; like when you pass someone at work and say hi, and then you pass then again and just nod, and then you pass them again and avoid eye contact...sometimes you just don't wave.

  7. How do you know they don't know eachother though? They probably bump into eachother briefly when they are back at the bus station between trips?

  8. Only friendly face they see all day

  9. i think it's out of respect.  cops do the same thing...  it's like, hey, even tho we don't know each other, we're in the same club so, here's your props!  idk

  10. Motorcycle riders (at least here in the US) often to it also. It's kind of a camaraderie thing.

  11. ITS A I KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING THROUGH KIND OF THING, PLUS ITS A SIGN OF POLITENESS.
