Why do cabin crew ask for the sun visors to be put up when landing?

just came back from prague today, and the air hostess announced that all sun visors should be put up for landing and take off. i was in australia last month and took 8 flights and the air crew on these flights also asked for the visors to be raised. was wondering why??

  1. Thats a good question you know. I think its because the passengers could jump  out if the pilot makes a bad landing and goes off the runway and crashes. Same with taking off.


  2. maybe so that the air crew don't have to go around and put  them all up... that might take a while especially if that plane has a flight right after..

  3. the airline is probably too lazy to do it

  4. Probably so they don't have to do it when all the passengers get off.

  5. They do that so just in case there is an emergency you can look out the window and get your bearing as to where you are. If they were all down you wouldn't have time to raise them..
