Right after I swallow a 600mg pill of calcium my stomach feels nauseous...

I thought it might be in my add because the smell of the pills make me gag, but I even tried taking the pills with food, and as soon as I swallow the pill I'll take a bite of something.. I still feel gross for a while after... what's the deal and what can I do about it?

  1. You should take those calcium pills with a whole meal.  In the middle of a meal is probably the best time.

Your 600 mg pills are undoubtedly calcium carbonate pills and perhaps you are allergic to calcium carbonate.  If taking the pill with plenty of food still gives you problems then you might have to try a different form of calcium such as calcium gluconate, calcium citrate or some other organic calcium.  Organic calcium is absorbed much better than inorganic calcium carbonate so you don't need 600 mg calcium carbonate pills if you take organic calcium.
