  1. because its all about money, and stupid ideas are easier to come by than good ones, and plus i think the stat quo people are trying to keep the youth dumb i.e. mucha lucha

  2. Have you actually WATCHED those cartoons again now that you are an adult?

Because I have and they pretty much sucked as well.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the Ninja Turtles and Transformers and all of that stuff when I was a kid but seeing them again as an adult it is pretty obvious that kids' cartoons in general are c**p.

Cartoons that are written so that they can be enjoyed by adults as well are pretty much the only ones that are worth watching.  For instance: Batman the Animated Series? AWESOME.  Gem? Not so much.

  3. I 100% agree, the only good cartoon on Tv nowadays that hasn't been cancelled yet would be Spongebob.

  4. Because Hollyoaks was born

  5. I think this is one of those questions every aging young adult asks him/herself in this ever changing society. I think maybe we don't think they're good, but today's kids do. I'm not saying you're wrong. I agree, today's shows are S****y, mostly creepy though. Not scary creepy, just weird creepy. The media is just adjusting to what the new generation likes: c**p. Who knows? Our parents probably asked themselves the same thing when they saw us watching the Teletubbies or Spongebob. They were used to the classics like Tom & Jerry, where pain and injuries are hialrious. Today it seems like weirdness is in. Who knows? Maybe in ten years fruityness will be the new thing.

  6. I don't think they're all terrible.   I like pocoyo, only because my toddler loves it and I see its value in educational terms.  The one I actually like (and watch sometimes if it's late and I've had a few) is Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends - gives me a chuckle sometimes.

It's all about preference - course they were better when you were young, you were young.

    Ape

  7. Agreed. The only cartoon from then thats still going and isnt complete garbage is Spongebob. In fact its pretty funny. The only good cartoons besides that are Family Guy and South Park. But there are no good cartoons targeted towards kids anymore. The old Batman, X Men, and Spiderman were some of the best cartoons. I would say probably the last good kids cartoons i enjoyed watching were Dexters Lab and Ed Edd n Eddy. At least we can depend on the Japanese for good anime. But as for america, cartoons are pretty much dying.

  8. I agree that most cartoons are but there was a show called Avatar the last airbender on Nick and it was a very beautiful story and it had a lot of heart. I cried on the last episode and I am 20. The characters are just so deep and just everything is so well thought out. Its got a lot of humor too and its not stupid humor its very smart kind of humor.

  9. i agree. in the 90's the shows were class. they are classics. pokoyo.. wtf? i dont understand all the wierd new programmes they are bringing out.

  10. I like some of the new ones!  but alor are c**p I agree
