  1. It's scent marking. Much better than urine marking.

  2. cats have scent glands on the cheeks so (s)he's marking territory

  3. Cats have scent glands in the face and body.  Your cat rubs all over things such as furniture and the walls because he is marking his territory on them.  My orange tabby does the same thing, especially when she wants attention from me.  She rubs all over me and if I am trying to write, she will rub her face all over it.

  4. They are sent marking their territory. They do that a lot when there are other cats around. They also rub their backs on things to.

  5. all cats do that its nothing bad or weird

  6. To leave their scent and let others know they have been there.

  7. BECAUSE THEY A GLAND IN THERE TO PUT SENT ON WHAT THEY RUB TO MARK IT

  8. that's where the scent gland is. Actually he is rubbing his check on things, it just looks like his mouth. Its called "marking territory" and the best part is that YOU can't smell it. I hold things out to my cats to be marked, which makes them very happy kitties.
