    Mose, elk, etc. make whistling or hooting noises during the mating season.

    There's a kind of little owl in our district the male of which makes a sound like a faraway French ambulance, non-stop, for days, or even weeks.

    Chicadee males that sing loudly, and in quick response attract more female attention than those that don't.

    Crickets chirp for the same purpose.

    Mating cats make a lot of noise before they even get close to each other.

  3. well... when the male cat inserts his p***s into the female, it locks on to her flesh with sharp spurs... so mostly what you hear is the female, screaming in agonizing pain!
