  1. Lots of reasons! Why do people talk?

If you could be specific I can give you a more specific answer.

What type of "meow" (loud? soft?)? What time of day? Where is the cat? Are they meowing at a person or another cat?

  2. ???

Every species has to communicate in some way! Many are vocal. Cats communicate both vocally and by scents, pheromones and body language. Meowing is part of how they communicate with each other.

    Chalice

  3. I don't think anyone knows for certain. It's a form of communication that, interestingly enough, seems to be reserved toward humans since cats generally don't 'meow' at each other.

  4. They meow when their inner-santa gives them a belly rub and makes the hormones in the taxi go CHOO CHOO

most cats are really chickens covered in vasaline

  5. because they were made to. just like dogs bark, horses whinny, cows moo-that's the way it was meant to be.
