Why do celtics fans think kobe sucks?

are they jealous or something? On one of my question someone said something like "laker's need real super stars to have a big three" But kobe is a superstar!

Kobe was given an MVP chant in the Boston Garden in the regular season last year.  It isn't that Boston fans, as a rule, hate Kobe.  But if you remember before the Finals series, no one gave the Celts a chance because Kobe was the best player in the league, and he would carry the Lakers.  If anyone objectively looks at eh games in the Finals - kobe disappeared.  It wasn't like Kobe played great and just got no help - as Kobe's butt-kissers would have you believe.  The C's put the stranglehold on Kobe, and Kobe had no answers.

So I guess it isn't that C's fans hate Kobe, but maybe we think he is great - but a tad over-rated.

Celtics fan here...and I think Kobe is the best player in the NBA...but he is basically a one-man show in LA...whereas the Celtics do have 3 big stars...and, uh...What is to be jealous about with Kobe?...I believe those 3 big stars and the Celtics  are the NBA champions...not Kobe...

It's not just Celtic fans, but almost all fans all over the country think he "sucks". I think what they really mean is that he sucks in terms of how he has carried himself over the years. With the rape charges and talking shmack to the Lakers his image has taken a beating.

He has been restoring it little by little. He's starting to realize that he needs a TEAM to win a championship. Everyone was surprised how together the team was in last season's playoff push (even I, as a Laker fan, was surprised). Everyone was praising Kobe, and even the Redeem Team has praised Kobe for his focus and leadership on and off the court during the Olympics.

Kobe and LeBron are the top individual players in the NBA now. Those two guys practically carry their teams on their shoulders. As much as I hate someone if they have game I'll respect them for that.
