  1. The same reason some people insist on misspelling washers and dryers (no apostrophes).  It's a thing.

  2. At a laundromat, probably to save money or because there aren't enough machines free.

At home, probably to save time and/or money because they only have one washer and one dryer so one load takes less time/water/energy/etc than two.

Otherwise, they just don't know any better.

  3. Obviously you don't live where the water is very, very expensive.  As for the dryer, well, yeah, the clothes do dry faster if they aren't crammed in.

  4. Because they're the devil. That or busy, too busy to do two loads. Or, you know, if we're being mean, we can say they're bitter, inconsiderate, and lazy. pick one.

  5. because they are lazy and dont like putting second washers and dryers

  6. Because they believe they are saving money, when in fact, they are shortening the life of their machines and wearing dirty clothes. Clothes need lots of water to flow through them in order for the detergent and motion to work properly.

Two small loads over one large one is good sense. Use cold water, it's better for clothes and for your wallet.

  7. Because they don't know that when they overload them that their clothes will still be dirty. They are also probably trying to save that extra dollar.

  8. because they have alomost all of it in when its full. so instead of doing another mini size wash they just cram everything into one load. and thats exactly wat i do. =]
