Why do chickens eat eachother when one is hurt?

My aunts chickens started doing this and we have no idea why

  3. The chicken's are establishing a "pecking order" among themselves. This finds out which one is the "top bird" etc on down the line in the group. It's normal.

    I'm assuming you mean like the hen had a cut or something and the others pecked at the hen and now it's much worse

    That is because chickens happen to be cannibalistic . .  

    meaning they will peck at weak ones

    (especially at bare or wounded flesh)

    That is why the pecking order among hens is so important although this is not what is going on here

    or unless they are and you have extremely exaggerated the matter?

    to  solve this you need to get your aunt to separate the "hurt" hen and wait until she is healed and then gradually introduce her back to the flock.  and then use an anti-peck spray.
